When hearing the word clique, usually the first thought that comes to mind is an exclusive group of like-minded individuals, who share the same interests, tastes and attitudes and usually no “outsiders” are allowed.

However, Atlanta native Taylar Barrington-Booker is working on reclaiming that word and reinventing it with the launch of her newest online, subscription service affectionally titled,  Cliquish®.

Created in August of 2019 in Chicago, the platform currently serves over 10,000 women entrepreneurs, bloggers (including YouTubers and Podcasters) and content creators. For a monthly membership of $7, the service offers one-on-one coaching, monthly coaching and opportunities to collaborate with major brands.

As a marketing specialist with more than a decade in the field, the Florida A&M University graduate saw a need for Cliquish®, a clique that’s inclusive and diverse.

“There’s a need across the board,” Barrington-Booker says. “Cliquish is a multicultural community, it teaches the business of content creation and teaching them [businesses] how to grow and monetize their content creation.”

She credits FAMU on influencing her vision with Cliquish®.

“I feel like FAMU made me fearless, it made me fearless, it made me resourceful.”

A huge part of Cliquish® is acknowledging the power of women and the strength we can possess when we are collaborating instead of competing.

“We survive when we feel supported,” she says. ” I think it’s so important for women to provide support.”

This October, Barrington-Booker and her team will be hitting the road on a 4-week tour titled, Faces of Content. The tour gives women content creators the opportunity to display their stories on a digital scope.

“It’s the first tour of its kind,” Barrington-Booker says. ” We photograph content creators across the city and ask them how their content will change the world.”

You can find all shades on Cliquish®. Barrington-Booker works to make sure that all women are welcomed in the clique.
