Kevin Hart’s Big Comeback
The comedian and actor received a standing ovation when he won the ‘Comedy Act’ award.
“First I thank God because I definitely don’t have to be here, but being as I am it makes me appreciate life even more,” Hart said.
Sunday night’s [Nov. 10] was Hart’s first public appearance since his life-threatening car accident in September in Calabasas, California.

Zendaya takes the win for Female Movie Star
The unapologetic actress won three times Sunday night. First for ‘Female Movie Star of 2019’ for her role in Spiderman: Far from Home and ‘Drama TV Star’ for the hit HBO series, Euphoria, a show about modern teenage life. During her speech touched on how grateful she is to the show and its impact.
“To anyone who has felt seen by our show, I think on behalf of the cast, crew, and everyone, that is all we ever wanted,” Zendaya said.
Girl group Blackpink swept up the awards, winning Concert of 2019, Group of the Year, and Music Video of 2019 for their song “Kill This Love”, which has over 600 million views.
Queen Bey for the win
Beyonce beat out Tom Hanks, Chris Pratt, Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Hart and others for the ‘Animated Movie Star of 2019’ win as Nyla in “The Lion King”.
Peaches lose on the red carpet but win in the fashion department
“Keeping up with the Kardashians” took the win for ‘Reality Show of 2019’ over “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”, the ratchetness we hate to love and love to hate.
Nonetheless, Georgia Royal Women, such as Kandi Burness served looks on the red carpet.

The people’s champ
The night came to a close with Pink, winning the People’s Champion of 2019. She encouraged people to go out and help others in her speech.
“There are people who don’t have what you have, help them get it,” Pink said. “There is a planet that needs help; it feels good to help, it feels powerful to help.”
It was a positive way to end the night to an award show that recognized so many people’s hard work this year.
