Valentine’s Day is around the corner, meaning that now is the time to buy your significant other the perfect gift. Whether you are looking for a woman or man in your life, or yourself,  we have created a list of Black-owned small businesses to get your love-shopping on.

1. Mango Moi Butters (Chicago, IL)

Mango Moi makes mango-based, vegan hair and skin products. Amanda Cayemitte, a Chicago-based entrepreneur, pursued creating the company after quitting her 9 to 5 job. The company’s products are unisex, so there are options for anyone to treat their partner.

2. Blue Sage Boutique (Tampa, FL)

Blue Sage Boutique, founded by Tampa native Christina Arenas, offers all-nature, hand-poured candles made with essential oils and premium fragrance oils. Additionally, the company has several collections to choose from. The “Chakra Collection” infuses crystals into each candle, each with its own purpose.

3. Damari Savile (Philadelphia, PA)

Damari Savile is Black-owned men’s and womenswear brand based in the heart of Philadelphia. Primarily focused on men’s’ suits, the clothing brand creates unique styles suitable for any night out, like Valentine’s Day dinner date (wink, wink).

4. Natasha’s Just Brittle (Baltimore, MD)

Nothing says Valentine’s Day like chocolate. Natasha’s online candy store offers chocolates, desserts, brittle popcorn, and brittle. Natasha started creating her desserts in her grandmother’s kitchen at nine years old, so suffice it to say, these treats will not disappoint.

5. Sofia Forte Catering (Tampa, FL)

If you and your partner feel more comfortable celebrating from the comfort of your home, then an at-home catered meal is the way to go. Sofia Forte Catering serves weddings, corporate gatherings, and private parties in the Tampa Bay area. Their menu offers entreé options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that are customizable to your preferences.

6. Highbrow Hippie (Venice, CA)

The online salon offers beauty products, from skincare and haircare to clothing and books on wellness and conscious living. Although the company’s products primarily cater to women of color’s needs, you will undoubtedly be able to find a gift that the man in your life could put to good use.
