A Day of RoyalTee: Teen Edition 2K18 is a empowerment workshop for teen girls that seeks to unveil the RoyalTee in them!
Let’s face it.  As women our teenage years can be some of the most turbulent years of our lives. And majority of those issues can come from within.

A Day of RoyalTee: Teen Edition 2K18 seeks to empower young girls beyond these obstacles through motivational speaking, interactive activities and affirmations ( THIS IS WHAT ROYALTEE LOOKS LIKE!) Royal Women women will be sharing their stories of overcoming self-esteem and their journey to self-love and acceptance. The girls will leave knowing and feeling what it means to be RoyalTee!

Workshops Include:

  • ‘Being Pretty For Me’ Inside and Out
  • ‘Good Hair vs. Bad Hair’ ( Healthy Hair vs. Unhealthy Hair)
  • Revealing the Beauty in Me
  • Self-affirmations
  • ‘This is What RoyalTee Looks Like ‘ vision boards

Requirements:

Must be a female
Must attend grades 6th-12th
Must be attending a middle/high school in the Tampa Bay, Sarasota and Manatee counties

Melva Mckay-Bass

 

 

With more than 20 years of credit union, financial
and business experience, Melva McKay-Bass (Mel)
is the Senior Vice President of Business
Development of Suncoast Credit Union. When she
began her career at Suncoast Credit Union in 2000,
McKay-Bass started learning branch operations,
consumer lending, and absorbing everything she
could about Suncoast and the credit union
difference.

 

Mrs. McKay-Bass worked in a variety of leadership roles at Suncoast Credit Union such as senior vice president of member service operations, which
included Risk Management, Fraud and Loss, teller operations, and deposit services. She also served as a regional vice president, branch manager and
loan officer.

Beyond her business development duties, Mrs. McKay-Bass is passionate about utilizing her dynamic skill set to improve the community and serves as a member of the Freddie Solomon Boys’ and Girls’ Club Advisory Board, Chair of Tampa Bay Black Business Investment Corp, United Way Community Partnership Development (CPD) Board, the Volunteer Income Tax Preparation program, United Way Suncoast Board, and a board member of Members’ Trust Company. She is also a graduate of Leadership Tampa Bay 2016 class. A Florida A&M University alum, Mrs. McKay-Bass earned her degree in accounting and began her career at SunTrust Bank.


Michelle Andrea

  A Tampa native that wanted to create a haven for women with natural curls, coils and kinks. She loves nourishing relationships between clients, herself and their hair. Breaking societal norms about hair and looks in any walk of life is her greatest dream. 

Upon leaving the lodging industry in 2012, she stepped into high gear to take the industry on and focus in on her passion to create ways for women to feel at their best! With her love for naturally textured hair and all the endless possibilities it provides, she has made it her duty to keep herself continuously educated on new trends and tips. In 2014, came the birth of Sole Koils and Kuts. A salon space dedicated to nurturing naturally textured hair, providing skin services and educating community patrons of their services and providing a platform for community creatives to display their work.



Ashlee Small 

 is a 24 year-old graduate of the University of South Florida. She obtained her degree in business marketing in 2015. Beyond educational achievements,  Ashlee is an entrepreneur and owns her own business by the name of Lovelee Looks.  Lovelee Looks is a beauty based business which provides hair and makeup services as well as cosmetic products.  

 Ashlee is passionate about inspiring others through her love for beauty / fashion and has worked on various platforms in to do so. In 2015, Ashlee partnered with Verizon Wireless : “The Potential of Us” campaign as a panelist to speak about the influence and bridge between the beauty industry and technology.   Furthermore, Ashlee is always looking forward to give back to the community and work with youth in creating excitement about life, business & beauty.

Ericka is a passionate entrepreneur, speaker and
consultant. She started her health coaching
business to help women worldwide feel better about
themselves from the inside and out. She practice her passion daily by
educating her clients on proper nutrition practices and use affirmations to
encourage them to not only work towards a healthier body but also a
healthier way of thinking. Ericka’s ultimate purpose is to help her clients to
achieve and maintain the dynamic healthy lifestyles they deserve.
Ericka created Affirmation SquatsTM to inspire women to master three
areas of their lives: health, confidence and wealth. She is also leader of the
online community, #FitQueendom where women come together worldwide
