Don’t sleep on your ideas! Marsai Martin didn’t! Her pitch is about to be a hit-comedy movie in Spring 2019.
The official trailer for ‘Little’ dropped today by Universal. Starring the Black-ish 14-year-old teen star, Regina Hall and Insecure queen, Issa Rae, ‘Little’ will be latest edition to the body snatching movies we know and love, such as Seventeen with Tia and Tamara Mowry and the mother-daughter nightmare swap known as Freaky Friday , with Lindsey Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.
According to Deadline, ‘Little’ tells the story of Jordan Sanders, played by Hall, “a snarky tech mogul who shows little regard for her seemingly ambitious and obsequious assistant, April (Rae). After a confrontation with a young girl, Hall wakes up to find that she is a tween (Martin) again and has to lean on her assistant, the only one in on the secret, to run the company, while she heads back to grade school.”
Martin is the executive producer, making her the youngest in the industry. Her idea for Little came about when she watched and fell in love with Tom Hanks’ Big. Hall, Josh Martin, and Preston Holmes will also be producing. Girls Trip Tina Gordon Tracy Oliver co-wrote the screenplay and Will ‘Power’ Packer produced, alongside James Lopez and Black-ish creator Kenya Barris.
‘Little’ hits theaters April 12. Watch the trailer below:
