Both have a child from a previous marriage and are excited to expanded their blended family. The couple has also been very public about their struggles to conceive. The 38 year-old experienced ectopic pregnancies, which resulted in Remy losing her fallopian tubes and forcing the couple to seek out in-vitro fertilization options.

“This was my second ectopic pregnancy, a complication of pregnancy in which the embryo attaches outside the uterus, so I’ve lost both of my fallopian tubes,” Remy shared with Essence in a July interview. ” While I was crying in the hospital bed the doctor told me, ‘It’s fine, you still have your uterus and your eggs are good, you can just do in vitro fertilization. We can put the baby where it needs to be, it’ll cost you anywhere between $10,000 to $20,000.’ I didn’t think about it because, not to brag, I have the $10,000 to $20,000 to pay for it. It wasn’t until I came out with [my story] that I learned a lot of women also have this issue.”

The Mackies have been sharing their baby journey on social media and the excitement of becoming new parents.
