Elaine Welteroth’s love for fashion and all things beauty has made her a Royal Woman that’s triumphing, evolving and elite!

The magazine,  Teen Vogue has named Welteroth their newest editor-in-chief.  She will take the crown from the founding editor, Ashley Astley, whose moving to take the #GirlBoss top role at Architectural Digest.

This isn’t the first time Welteroth made headlines with #royalwoman or #blackgirlmagic. In October of 2012, she became Teen Vogue’s first black beauty and health director. At the age of 29, her new promotion also makes her the youngest editor-in-chief in Conde Nast history and the second black woman EVER to hold that title in the company’s 109 history. Keija Minor was the first when she was named editor-in-chief of Brides Magazine in 2012.

Such a ROYAL WOMAN!

But Welteroth didn’t become the HQIC overnight (Head QUEEN  in charge). She first made her mark at Conde Nast by becoming the beauty writer and editor for Glamour Magazine and then the senior beauty editor.  Before then, she worked at Ebony Magazine as the beauty and style editor.  We see a lot more melanin the future of Teen Vogue.  We’re so proud of Ms. Welteroth and this much-deserved role and cannot wait where she takes the magazine  in the future!
