If you ask Breonna Queen Lewis what she does for a living, you’ll get a few different answers. She’s an author, artist, entrepreneur and most importantly, she’s a woman who is ON THE GO.

“I have four spectrums of my business,” the 27-year-old melanin tells us. “I have my YouTube channel which is Breonna Queen Lewis. From there I have the books that I write as well as the cosmetics line, Queenie Skin Cosmetics.”

Lewis started on her entrepreneurial path right out of college. But the road to launching her own business was a spontaneous one. It started by doing what most graduates do right after walking across the stage; stroll right into the job market.  While Lewis was searching for jobs, YouTube was just starting to gain popularity, especially among employers.  The Kentucky native figured the video site will be a great and innovative way to reach out to companies.

“I did a cute video just so I can learn how to load a video, how to optimize, how to make comments, just the little stuff,” she says. “One day, I got a comment from a lady and she had said, ‘hey when are going to make more videos and I’m like what? You want videos from me? What! Like me?”

From there, Queenie Skin and Cosmetics was born. The line includes lipsticks, soaps and natural oils. Lewis is also an accomplished author. Her book series, “Let’s Face It”, focuses on everything that *enhances* our beauty; from foundation and skincare to eyeliner and foundation. Both books in the series topped number one on Amazon for new releases on medium skin care. And she doesn’t plan on putting the pen down anytime soon.

“I always wanted to write a self-help book. I want to touch bases on one’s potential.”

And when it comes to staying motivated and being satisfied at her place in life, she credits one of her biggest passions.

“One of my biggest passions is women realizing they are enough. Women can do anything they sent their minds to.”

When Lewis is not tending to her growing cosmetics line and book series, she’s working as a bridal makeup artist; all while still holding down a full-time job in advertising.

“My fear is that I don’t want to be stagnate, to be mediocre. I can’t,” she tells RoyalTee.  “I keep my motivation because I always want to do better.”

She also credits her motivation to the crowd she surrounds herself around.

“If you have people around you that are girl bosses, entrepreneurs, who are consistently going, they motivate you.”

And when it comes to being a Royal Woman?

“Being royal to me means you know what want in life and even what you don’t know in life. You don’t doubt yourself or talk yourself out of stuff. I feel like especially black women, a lot of times we talk ourselves out of wonderful opportunities, like oh I’m not good enough, oh I’m not smart enough, oh I’m not pretty enough. And a Queen can’t do that, a queen has to say, ‘ok I may have these fears and these self-doubts, but I have to look beyond that because I’m worth it. God made me capable of going beyond my fears and my doubts.”
