But wait a minute, did you hear about Kaavia’s new line? We love to see it!
Something new to get the nieces and nephews!
Kaavia James Union-Wade (dubbed the ‘Shady Baby‘) has come out with a new fashion line! The three-year-old daughter of Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade, who is known for her self-proclaimed, unfiltered “shadiness,” collaborated with children’s fashion brand, Janie and Jack. The Kaavia Union-Wade x Janie Jack collection debuted on Feb. 2 and ranges from $10.50-$74.00.
Don’t be fooled! Kisses won’t get you the @janieandjack collection for free! Mommy and daddy think they’re slick — make sure to grab yours before it’s gone,” the caption read with a picture of Dwyane and Gabrielle kissing an unbothered Kaavia.

Sharing the launch with her bestie
Also involved in the launch was her bestie, three-year-old Crosby Sparrow, the son of actress Nicole Lyn and ad agency exec Chad Easterling.
Images of the pair were also shared as part of “The World of Joy” themed campaign. “I can’t believe they got us covering the Winter Olympics,” the caption read. Only snow I’ve seen is in “Frozen.”
The second picture shows Kaavia in typical Shady Baby fashion nudging Crosby away as he hugs her.
“Second pic: You damn well know I don’t like cuddles,” one person jokingly commented.
Another wrote, “My favorite celebrity duo.”
But don’t be fooled by Kaavia’s brush-off. The two tots are friends and recently went on vacation to Hawaii, with their parents of course. Now they can add fashion ambassadors to the adventures.
“Once Kaav and Crosby got to the age where they were able to identify colors and shapes, they like when they have something similar on,” Union shared with Vanity Fair. “They like to be twinning.”

The mini fashionista
Although we all know Kaavia is a fashion icon, she did need a bit of help from mom to put her vision together. Union told Vanity Fair that their daughter is obsessed with everything in their closet and has been a ‘fashion fan’ since she could walk.
“When we were designing this line, people were like, ‘How does a child participate in the fashion process,” Union spoke to Vanity Fair about involving Kaavia in the designing process.
“But when we whittled down our ideas between the Janie and Jack design team and me and my husband, we showed [Kaavia] the French terry [styles], we showed her the triple-tier ruffles and the prints. There were things that we loved and she was like, ‘No’. And we didn’t force any of it on her. If she didn’t like it, that was it.”
The clothing line is inspired by traditional African prints. It features brightly colored shirts, skirts, hats that speak to Kaavia’s fun personality. The collection is available online and in Janie and Jack stores nationwide.
