According to the latest statistics from the Census Bureau, there are more than 2 million Black-owned businesses in the United States. Out of those Black businesses, 35% are Black women and 44% of new Black entrepreneurs start their small business with their own money. Since 2012, Black businesses have generated over $150 billion in gross revenue. New York and Washington D.C. have the highest number of Black-owned businesses.
Needless to say, we are rooting for everyone and everything that’s Black. To celebrate Juneteenth, RoyalTee Magazine is highlighting young Black business owners across the country!
