Life coach Shaun Crumméy, 32, lives by five interpersonal affirmations: become clear on what you want and the impact you want to create; add value and put a tax on your worth; realize your obstacles as opportunities for full potential; stay organized and always strive to reach your fullest potential.
The New York native, also known as Coach Cru, has used those points and more to create an empowered online community of his peers and provide corporate training in the areas of leadership and communication.
What is Luhv+?
Luhv+ is the latest Black-owned affirmation app we need to download. Launched in March 2022, the app targets career professionals who may be transitioning into leadership and executive roles. The app offers personal and business development skills mini-courses that Coach Cru calls ‘challenges.’ Within these challenges, individuals deep-dive into personal obstacles that may be holding them back, such as procrastination, anxiety, trauma, and imposter syndrome, which millennials experience at a far higher rate than Gen Z and baby boomers.
The app also caters to newly transitioned entrepreneurs and creatives and puts a high focus on accountability, time management, and self-mental wellness.
“I think back to a time when I used to be upset because friends and family couldn’t see my vision, until one day I realized that no one will ever see my vision but me,” says Crumméy, who is also the author of the book, Becoming More Effective in Less Time. “It is up to me to bring forth the world that I want. Ever since then I have been stepping into my light so others can find theirs.”
Collaboration over competition
The app is part of the larger Luhv+ Transformation community where users can connect and network with other professionals, including in the fields of commercial and residential real estate.
“This app helps you become more effective in less time by providing a system for accountability and productivity,” says Crumméy. “The Luhv+ challenges are amazing because they are scientifically designed to help you push past your current limitations, set goals, and track your progress in real-time.”
Users also have access to a study and a daily affirmation group with messages written by Crumméy himself, who believes that you are the creator of your world and create the experiences in your life.
“When you grow, everything around you grows,” he says. “Everyone is the star of their movies and when we come together we co-star. And when we all get together with love and beautiful energy, we shine brightly and form a galaxy.”

What makes Cru RoyalTee?
“What makes me RoyalTee is my energy,” Crumméy says. “My willingness to not settle for anything less than the vision of a world around me full of love, connectivity, and financial prosperity. What makes me Royal is my ability to overcome obstacles that try to obstruct my outcomes.”
Crumméy lost both of his parents, including his mother from cancer while he was still in high school.
“Going to 7 schools in 9 years always having to be the new kid and adapt to a new environment has also made me become a Royal Man,” he says. “Learning from some of the greatest teachers on the planet and women has made me a Royal Man. Being a man that is not afraid to be vulnerable has made me a Royal Man.”
