January 26, 2020, was an emotional drain for many of us. The deaths of Kobe and Gianna Bryant was a tough pill to swallow and we’re still having trouble digesting.
But somehow, Google came through with some grief therapy last night with the epic premiere of their Black History Month commercial. It aired during the 62nd Grammy Awards.
The commercial opens with the phrase,” There are moments in American history that captivate us all,” and a clip from Beyonce’s Coachella performance. Then it goes on to pan images of other epic black figures in history such as Prince, John Legend, Maya Angelou, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., Serena Williams, Michael Jorda, Lebron James, and Simone Biles.
