#RoyalWomenInspire
In any journey of life, people find examples, role models and influences that can give advice or a road map of success. The same can be said for women going through the journey of pregnancy and motherhood. I wanted to talk to my mom for the same reasons. She was the definition of a Royal Woman. Strong. Inspirational. Loving. Beautiful in and out. Unfortunately, I lost my mom years ago and asking her for advice and guidance was not an option.
I remember sitting with the pregnancy test in my head. It read positive. I stared in disbelief. I was in my car trying to figure out what emotion was pushing through the most. Fear won over. I hadn’t thought I was actually pregnant. I took the test to put my mind at ease, that I was making the symptoms up in my head. But it turned out to be positive. And as I sat in that car, the person I wanted to talk to the most was my mom.
I wanted to talk to my mom for the same reasons. She was the definition of a Royal Woman
Since my mother died, I struggled with seeing myself with my own family. I doubted that I could do it without her by my side. But when that pregnancy test read positive, I knew that I would have to get over my fear, over that doubt. I would have to do it without her.
In her absence, other women in my life stepped up. I came to realize that this was just what Royal Women do. They step up and help those in need. In the beginning, I struggled to accept help or advice. Instead, I turned to the internet and watched videos and read articles that I thought would help me through the process. But it was too impersonal.
I wasn’t getting everything I needed. I didn’t want to feel as though I was replacing what my mom’s role would have been had she been alive. Then I thought about it. A Royal Woman like herself wouldn’t want me to struggle when there were a plethora of women ready to stand by me. So I began to open myself up and that made the biggest difference. In these women, I found friendship and solace. I found the advice I had been apprehensive to ask for. I found examples of great mothers.
I came to realize that this was just what Royal Women do. They step up and help those in need. Give their support. Give guidance.
In friends. In family by blood or by marriage. In women that had been there all along and women that were just joining the party. Royal Women can be found anywhere. You just have to allow yourself the opportunity to be connected to them.
