Four-time Grand Slam tennis champion, Naomi Osaka, is expecting her first child with rapper boyfriend Cordae. The couple are going to be parents to a baby girl.
Osaka, 25, shared the news on her Instagram on Monday. The mom-to-be posed in front of a purple and pink backdrop titled, “A Little Princess IS ON THE WAY”.

Osaka told People that she was aware of the baby’s gender in advance but did not immediately tell Cordae.
“I’ve been preparing, but he doesn’t know the gender yet, only I know, “ she told the outlet in a February exclusive. “So it’s not like I can build out the room or anything.”
Osaka added, “I’m just kind of winging it. That’s kind of the key motto in my life a little.” She went on to share what she was looking forward to most about motherhood.
“I think what I’m looking forward to most is the challenges and just learning,” she says. “I think there’s going to be a lot of things that I don’t know, but I have a lot of really amazing people close to me that I can ask questions about. Just a new adventure.”
The couple has been known to be romantically involved publicly since 2019.
Osaka first announced her pregnancy back in January, sharing a picture of a sonogram on Instagram with the caption, “The past few years have been interesting, to say the least, but I find it’s the most challenging times in life that may be the most fun.”
The news came days before she announced she was pulling out of the 2023 Australian Open and planned to return to playing in the 2024 Australia Open. Osaka isn’t the only tennis champ expecting. Retired Grand Slam champion Serena Williams is expecting her second child with her husband, Alexis Ohanian.
