What got you into fashion design?
“Growing up I always knew I wanted to do something artistic and then right about my 12th grade I knew it was going to be fashion and I got a scholarship for it and that was a plus.”
Where do you get your inspiration from
“I love prints and I love bold colors, that’s really what sticks to me.”
Where do you see your fashion career going in the next five to ten years?
“I hope that it would just touch every part of the world and I would love to have a flagship store as well.”
What advice would you give to women like yourself who are looking to get into the fashion industry?
“First of all, you have to be sure of what you want. And when you’re sure you have to go for it. It requires a lot of hard work, but then a lot of light at the end of the tunnel. “
What makes you a Royal Woman?
“I’m confident in who I am and very proud of where I come from.”
Mangishi Doll can be found in stock in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Paris and Lusaka, Zambia.
