Quavo and Offset reunited to honor Takeoff at this year’s BET Awards on Sunday, June 25. With a surprise performance at the awards show, the two rappers paid tribute to their late member and friend Takeoff, who was shot and killed in November 2022.

On stage, Quavo, 32, and Offset, 31, performed their hit songs “Hotel Lobby” and “Bad and Boujee” in front of a rocket illustration that later changed into a picture of Takeoff.

The entire audience got up to dance to the music during their electric performance.

Offset and Quavo appeared to have ended their feud in honor of Takeoff. Backstage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, they were seen interacting with one another as well as performing together. According to TMZ, Quavo, and Offset allegedly got into an altercation backstage at the 65th Grammy Awards back in February. The Grammys requested that Quavo and Offset perform together at the event, but Quavo allegedly refused to let Offset participate.

Offset seemingly debunked the alleged fight, tweeting shortly after,  “What tf look like fighting my brother yal n—as is crazy.”

The BET Awards performance was the duo’s first one together since Takeoff’s death.  Both of them uploaded videos of the performance to their Instagram accounts. Following the release of their debut commercial single, “Versace,” in 2013, Migos became an instant hit starting in 2008. The Atlanta-based rap group went on to put out a string of hit singles, including “Bad and Boujee,” which they did with Lil Uzi Vert in 2016, “MotorSport” featuring Nicki Minaj and Cardi B in 2017, and “Walk It Talk It” featuring Drake.

Since Takeoff’s Offset has been busy launching his own solo career. “The objective is to do it fully and smash shit and fuck the game up as a solo artist,” he told Variety. “I’m coming through, bustin’ through the door. It’s all set, my next chapter. It’s my time.” As for the passing of Takeoff, he found it hard to put into words about his death. “Talking about all this shit is hard,” he told Variety.  “That’s why I don’t, to be honest. That shit hurts. Like, it’s gonna put me in a mood, and I don’t want to get in that mood. Some things I don’t never tell nobody. He’s not here. That shit feels fake, bro.”
