Glow bright like a diamond! Rihanna is expanding her family with A$AP Rocky. The couple is expecting their second child together.
The pregnancy was confirmed Sunday night during Riri’s halftime Superbowl performance, according to E! News, where she performed hits such as “Bitch Better Have My Money,” “Diamonds,” “Rude Boy,” “Only Girl (In the World),” and “Umbrella.”
“The setlist was the biggest challenge,” she said at the Apple Music Halftime Show press conference on Feb 9. “That was the hardest, hardest part—deciding how to maximize thirteen minutes, but also celebrate.
After her performance, fans started speculating on her body language, observing she was not as active as previous Super Bowl performers and her noticeable bump, which was perceived as post-baby weight before the big news was confirmed.
Last May, Rihanna, and A$AP Rocky welcomed a son together. Rihanna got the invite to perform at the Super Bowl three months after her son was born. But it was motherhood that inspired her to take the offer and perform at the big game.
“The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world,” she said. “As scary as that was, because I haven’t been on stage in seven years, there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all. And it’s important for me to do this year. It’s important for representation. It’s important for my son to see that.”
