Auntie Oprah and Auntie Gayle have been besties for the past 40 years and have shared quite a few ventures together, from marriage, kids and divorce to media mogul fame and running O Magazine. Now they have a new project together! The friends have launched a new web series together called The OG Chronicles. Each month, Winfrey and King will read readers’ questions about adulting and offer their advice.

For the first month, the topic was dating.

BOY BYE!!

The first question was from a woman that shares an empty nest with her husband and wanted to “spice up things” in the bedroom. Oprah’s advice for bringing out the freak was a hilarious account of her sexy moment gone wrong with her boo, Stedman.

“This was so many years ago, I got the whole negligee thing and I’m standing at the stairs when [Stedman] comes in and he literally comes in and walks right past me and says, ‘What are you doing?’

Gail chimed in with her failed sexy attempt; “I wrapped myself up with saran wrap when I was married, put on a trench coat and when he came out I said ‘Ta-da!’, and he said, ‘What is that?'”

Oprah eventually offers her advice and says “Ask him what would be spicy.”

Attraction could come from the most unlikely activities outside the bedroom, like cooking.

“For me, I’ve gotta say making cornbread kind of serves the purpose,” Oprah shared. ” I made some cornbread yesterday and you would have thought I stripped myself butt naked! A little cornbread and black-eyed peas go a long way in my house.”

When another reader asked if she should give her  husband the passcode to her phone, the friends had opposing views. Oprah felt like she should not because the woman should have her own privacy. However, Gayle said, “people who have nothing to hide, hide nothing.”

“To me, it’s not big deal if your significant other has your passcode,” the O Magazine editor-at-large explained.

And if you have a man who has cold feet about wedding bells, the ladies say move on.

“This only works if you’re OK not making a commitment,” King says.” But if you want a commitment and he doesn’t after two years, I can see why you broke up with him. ”

Oprah took it a step forward and suggest that the reader also harvest her eggs.

“If I was a 34-year-old woman out here in the world, where it’s hard out here for a pimp,” Oprah says, “I would be harvesting my eggs.”
