This spring we have to remain body positive ladies! Why? Hey Siri, play Skin” by Rihanna! It is time to pack up the long sleeves and the pants. Put away the scarves and coats and let’s show off what we got!
Coi Leray
The recent Coi Leray situation has inspired me to talk about how to keep a positive relationship with our bodies. The young singer has been in recent conversations, but not due to her hit single ” No Parties”. It’s all because of her tone, slim-shaped figure. On March 30, Leray dropped a pretty risque video of herself promoting her new single “Big Purr.”
The video conjured up many negative comments. It was disgusting. What was more disheartening, is that women were amongst many to throw their shade at the young artist.
You really built like a lil boy

Staying positive!
However, there was one remark that got my attention!
They body shame coi leray for being skinny, Megan the stallion for being tall& strong, saweetie for plastic surgery, and lizzo for having fat. I’m starting to think there’s no right way to occupy a body when you’re a woman ??

And this I agree with! There is no “right” way to have a body. You have the privilege to have only one body. Love and cherish it! Our bodies are amazing! I know it can be a challenge to keep a positive mindset with our bodies so here are some tips on how to keep up the positivity this spring.
1. Comparison Is The Thief Of Joy!
In this modern age of social media, comparing yourself to others is easy to do. You’re scrolling and you see all these BBL bodies. However, you have to realize these bodies are snatched due to a talented doctor with a needle. Cherish the body YOU were given. Don’t compare yourself to unrealistic standards.
2. Speak Highly Of Yourself!
Look in the mirror daily or take selfies, and say affirmations only! You’re a badass and you look beautiful! You deserve praise, not slander.
3. Don’t Worry About The Numbers; Wear Clothes That Make YOU Feel Good!
Numbers are just that…numbers. They don’t define you or your worth. Don’t focus on the little number on the tag of the pants or the number on the scale, wear what you want! As cliche as it may sound, everybody is a beach body. So wear that string bikini girl!
This Spring, remember that you are worthy and that you and your body deserve to be loved unconditionally by YOU!
