#RoyalMen
For Father’s Day, we thought it would be the perfect time to celebrate Black fathers! Why? Because they just don’t get enough credit!
Here are some young Black celebrity dads who are living that #DadLife and making it look easy. We love seeing our #RoyalMen raising beautiful Royal Girls and Boys!
Trey Songz
Songz became a father for the first time with the birth of his son, Noah, in 2019. Baby Noah just celebrated his second birthday on April 20th. The singer still seems elated with fatherhood after two years. He shared adorable pictures and videos from his son’s birthday party on Instagram.
While it was a bit of a surprise when Songz first announced his son’s birth, he has always expressed his desire to be a dad. In 2015, he told Charlamagne during a Breakfast Club interview, “Man, I want kids. I’ve been wanting children before you could even imagine. I raised all the kids in my family.”
We love seeing Songz living his best life with his son and wish them both the best!

Bow Wow
Rapper, actor, and entrepreneur Bow Wow, 34, is a proud father of two! His daughter, Shai, whom he shares with entrepreneur Joie Chavis, was born in 2011. Moss also has a son, Stone, who was born in 2020 to model Olivia Sky.
Shai is the spitting image of Bow Wow, whose real name is Shad Moss. She is often featured on his social media where they post cute snaps and funny dancing videos. Shai clearly absorbed her dad’s charm and star power. Bow Wow told The Shade Room that he is in the process of making a sitcom series with his daughter. “The show is amazing I’m just gon’ put it that way. ‘Shai and Shad’ is coming. This year for sure,” he said.
When asked in the same interview if he wanted more kids, Bow Wow joked, “I love ‘em both and I’m just happy I got two good ones on my side. I’m done after this. No more for Bow Wow.”

Russell Westbrook
Washington Wizards point guard Russel Westbrook has a full house! He shares three children including twins with his wife, Nina Earl. Their son, Noah was born in May of 2017. They welcomed twin girls, Skye and Jordyn, in November of 2018.
While he’s aggressive on the court, it’s clear Westbrook is a softie at home. He said in an interview with ESPN that becoming a father made him reassess his priorities, “…family is what keeps me going. So to answer your question: father and then basketball. That’s just how I think.”
The Westbrooks are always the best-dressed family at the function. His wife even has a children’s clothing company. Russ and his wife both like to share pictures of their beautiful family on Instagram. They travel a lot and it’s great getting to see all of their adventures together. Seriously, if you don’t follow either of them, go do it now. You won’t regret it!

G Herbo
25-year-old Chicago Rapper G Herbo is expecting his first child with his fiancée Taina Williams. This will be his second child, as he already shares his son, Yosohn, with his ex-girlfriend.
Yosohn, who just turned three this past month, is Herbo’s mini-me. He is often seen on the rapper’s social media where the two seem like best friends. They clearly share a very special father and son bond. Herbo has brings baby Yosohn to the studio with him often, and even brings him on stage at some of his concerts. It seems he’s soaking it all up, too, as the toddler has been seen rapping along to music on Instagram, including his father’s.
Herbo said in an interview with Vevo that fatherhood has changed his life.
“Since fatherhood, my music’s been a lot better. My drive has been way better, I’ve been making more songs. I know how to be more productive with my time…it just makes me work harder.”
On May 27, G Herbo and his fiancée Taina Williams have welcomed their first child together, which makes the “Ridin Wit It” rapper a father of two.

Steph Curry
Last but not least, our favorite “girl dad,” Steph Curry!
The Warriors player shares three children with his wife Ayesha. Daughters Riley, 8, Ryan, 5, and son Canon, 2, are all equally adorable and funny. Curry keeps his family close and his wife and kids were often on the sidelines or at post-game interviews before COVID.
Steph is never shy when gushing about how much he loves his children and family. When asked specifically about raising daughters, Curry shared, “Being a girl dad is just leaning into being present, being available, being a vision of how a man should treat a woman. I think, for us we have to be that model.”
