If you’re still running into a blank for some loved ones on your Christmas list, get inspired by Marsai Martin. The Black-ish star and teen mogul released her holiday guide on Amazon. The handpicked list features items such as a laptop cellphone mount, yoga mat, reusable cotton makeup removers, a portable humidifier, and for the creatives, a candle-making kit for adults.  Most of the items range between $17 and $60.

“When curating my gift guide I want to make sure I included items for everyone,” Martin said in a press release. “From the chef, the fashionista, the homebody, to the wellness and beauty lover. There’s something for everyone at Amazon Lifestyle and I wanted my gift guide to help make holiday shopping as easy as possible!”

She added, “I try to give personalized gifts because they are unique and fun to create. It’s not always the material things that matter. Just being able to spend time with family is one of the best gifts that anybody can give me or that I can gift to anybody else.”

Mogul moves and representation

In 2019, Martin became the youngest producer in Hollywood history to produce her own film, Little, starring Issa Rae. That same year, she launched her own production company, Genius Productions.

“Representation is so important,” Martin told Romper in an August interview while promoting her role in PAW Patrol: The Movie.  “There wasn’t a lot of young Black girls on television [when I was growing up], and if there was one they would cut her out in the first act or have her doing something that is kind of stereotypical. Being in the forefront of creating my own content now and being for the culture and wanting to do things out of the ordinary … is the best thing for me.”

This January, Martin will be teaming up with DiscoveryX for a new series called Remix My Space with Marsai Martin. The series will follow Martin as she revamps teens’ bedrooms who have made a difference in their communities.

“You know me from my roles in film and television and, yes, acting is great,” said Marsai in a press release about the series. “But I’m really obsessed with design. A teen’s room should be their sanctuary, so I’m surprising amazing people who are doing incredible things for our world.”

Remix My Space with Marsai Martin premieres on Jan. 15.
