The state autopsy results for Nolan Wells have been released to the public.

During a press conference on Sept. 24 in Orlando, attorney Benjamin Crump and his team went over the autopsy findings, including the blunt force trauma on the back of his head.

The reoort also noted that there was no fluid or debris found in his airways pr stomach.

Contusions were found on the back of Wells’ head and noted there were no white blood cells, indicating the injury occurred shortly before death.

The cause of death was concluded undetermined. 

“This 18 year old male was found face down in the water at Horn Island. Because the circumstances surrounding this death are unknown, the cause and manner of death are best classified as undetermined,” the state autopsy report stated in a summary.

Another press conference is scheduled next week with chief medical examiner  Dr. Roger Mitchell who will go into further details.

The State Medical Examiner’s office report comes after a grand jury reviewing the evidence in Wells’ death found that no criminal charges would be filed at this point.

Also during the conference, Andrew Garrett, the forensics examiner who was hired by the Wells family, revealed findings from Wells’ phone, which included nearly 300 Snaps between Wells and his friends’ groups on Snapchat, as well as GPS data which gives  investigators a timeline of the phone’s movement for the entire day of July 4 and into the next morning, before Wells’ parents turned the device off.

Garrett’s team determined messages were deleted between the time Wells last used his phone up until his parents retrieved it. But they could not determine who or why the message were deleted.

The 18 year-old teen went missing on Horn Island, Mississippi on the 4th of July weekend. His body was found two days later on July 6.

” We are still trying to determine who or what caused the blunt force trauma to the back of Nolan Wells’ head, ” said Crump at the press conference.

He stressed to the media that his team and the Wells’ family are only focused on what happened to him and are not accusing anyone.

“Let’s focus on what killed Nolan Wells, let’s don’t focus on the distractions, ” said Crump.  “It is beneath our shared humanity. “
