Just in time for homecoming season! The Lip Bar is paying homage to historically Black colleges and universities with its latest collection. The Black-owned vegan lip gloss line has partnered with HBCU Culture Shop to launch a limited-edition of lip glosses inspired by HBCUs.
The HBCU Lip Gloss Collection includes seven lip glosses inspired by the following HBCUs: Hampton University, Florida A&M University, Southern University, Tennessee State University, Howard University and Spelman College.
Lip Bar CEO and founder Melissa Butler, a FAMU graduate, says the foundation of Lip Bar began while she was in school. “My first customers and employees went to HBCUs,” she told ESSENCE. “I wanted to show some love in honor of how much love HBCUs have given men and women for centuries, especially FAMU. I owe so much to my HBCU and the richness of the culture is unsurpassed.”
The glosses are $16 and available on thelipbar.com while supplies last.
