#RoyalWomenInspire!

As if the Olympics hasn’t given us enough, more #blackgirlmagic is coming to our movie screen.
20th Century Fox released the first trailer for the upcoming ” Hidden Figures” this past weekend during the Rio Summer Olympics coverage.

The film centers around three  “brilliant African-American women” who  worked at NASA and served as the brains behind one of the greatest space projects in history- the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit in 1962.

Taraji P. Henson plays the heroine Katherine G. Johnson, Octavia Spencer portrays Dorothy Vaughn ( who is also NASA’s first black engineer) and Janelle Monae is Mary Jackson. All three women spearheaded  a group of mathematicians at NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va. Other stars include Kevin Costner, Kirsten Dunst and  Jim Parsons.

Hidden Figures premieres in theaters on January 13, 2017.
