Amanda Gorman’s books are already bestsellers after her stellar recitation at the inauguration, and they haven’t been released yet! Gorman’s poetry books, “The Hill We Climb Poems,” and “Change Sings: A Children’s Anthem, are #1 and #2 on Amazon and Barnes & Noble lists.
“The Hill We Climb: Poems” will be Gorman’s debut book and will be largely aimed at teenage and adult readers. It will be released this September by Viking Books For Young Readers. Her debut picture book, “Change Sings,” with illustrations by Loren Long, will be released the same day.
In response to her growing popularity, Gorman tweets: “I AM ON THE FLOOR MY BOOKS ARE #1 & #2 ON AMAZON AFTER 1 DAY! Thank you so much to everyone for supporting me and my words. As Yeats put it: “For words alone are certain good: Sing, then.”

Following the inauguration, Penguin Young Readers said it would also publish a special hardcover edition of the inaugural poem on its own.
Gorman’s poetry book, “The Hill We Climb: Poems,” will contain the poem she recited at the inauguration. In her poem, Gorman shared a message of hope and unity. She called out the turmoil and division this nation has endured and challenged Americans to create a new chapter in American history.
