Besides my last name being Caesar, I’d say that I’m a Royal Man because I’m self-made and self-motivated.

Kelsey Caesar is the star of the new horror, slasher film, B**** A**. But before then, he was a star athlete on the track. RoyalTee Magazine spoke with the rising actor about his new role and his transition into the entertainment industry.

In most horror movies, it never really goes well for ‘us’, tell us what audiences can expect different from your upcoming role in “B**** A**”?

This film is an all-black cast. The saying that black people always die first in horror movies still remains, so check it out, to see what happens when the cast is all black!  I wouldn’t say that I bring anything truly different to this role, because the movie is all about nostalgia. It pays homage to black horror cinema, such as Tales From The Hood and Bones to name a few.

From the track to the cameras, that is quite a transition, tell us who or what got you into acting?

I was always fascinated with the entertainment industry.  As a child, my family would always watch movies together.  Movies were, and will always be, a major part of my family dynamic, whereas – movie night is family night!

Would you ever go back to track if given the opportunity?

No, I’ve been an athlete for most of my life. I’m definitely ready to broaden my future.  I still run to stay in shape, but I definitely admire track and field and all of the amazing athletes that compete. My training is now focused on acting.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to find their purpose?

I’d say that instead of exploring and finding out what you like to do, do what gives your life meaning… never stop learning.  I believe that anyone who is struggling with finding one’s purpose, should first learn about themselves and who they are while the exploring world and finding the meaning in one’s own life.

What makes you a Royal Man?

Besides my last name being Caesar, I’d say that I’m a Royal Man because I’m self-made and self-motivated. Although I am inspired by others, I’m very self-motivated by setting up small wins that eventually grow to bigger wins.
