Quavo has a love for hats, sports, and higher education. The Migos rapper says he plans to attend the University of Georgia next year. Quavo, whose real name is Quavious Keyate Marshall, shared with Vibe that he is going to be a student but didn’t disclose what major he would study.

“Next year, I’m going to enroll myself into University of Georgia. I’m going to be a student on campus,” the 32-year-old shared.

Quavo has been partnering with Lids on signature hat collections paying homage to Atlanta’s sports teams. His recent drops feature two limited-edition hats honoring the UGA Bulldogs. Before that, it was two Atlanta Braves hats.

“The relationship just got stronger and stronger,” the Athens, Georgia native told Vibe. “I created another hat when they went back-to-back and won another World Series, thank God. And then now we here with the college wave and UGA won back-to-back. So I guess it’s only right to call Qua at this point.”

He added, “ I’m just proud of myself for being a part of the family.”

Quavo is one of UGA’s most recognizable fans and supporters and one of the few celebrities who is invited to stand on the sidelines of a live Bulldog Football game.

The “Who Wit Me” rapper’s love for Atlanta and hats runs deep.  Upon establishing his rap career, he carried a hat representing the city, which fans supported.

He revealed that he also had a hand in designing the latest LIDS hat spotlighting the university.

“I want to see everybody at the University of Georgia have this hat,” he shared.  “These hats are rare. This hat is a one-of-a-kind, and it’s done by me.”

The LIDS University of Georgia collection is available at select Lids locations and Lids HD stores in Georgia.
