#royalwomeninspire Janell Stephens is the founder and ‘mixtress’ of Camille Rose Naturals.

Launched in 2010, the natural products focus on health, beauty and wellness, inspired by Stephens’ vegan and holistic lifestyle. It includes conditioners, cleansers, balms and a kids’ line called The Mandarin Collection. Stephens also plans to launch a medical spa line called BodySkin.

RoyalTee caught up with the busy ‘mompreneur’ of five at the BET Experience in Los Angeles.

What advice would you give to anyone aspiring to be in the natural hair business?

“Keep going, keep going! Study, do research, practice, these are all my formulas, it took me about two years to get it right. I stumbled, I cried, but I never gave up.

What makes you a Royal Woman?

“Passion and being my best self. And I encourage all women to be their best self, find out what that is and just go for it!”
