Run The World - Starz

If you love HBO’s Insecure or Tyler Perry’s Sistas, then you will love Starz’s Run The World. The series is created by Leigh Davenport, who is the executive producer alongside Yvette Lee Bowser. Both are known for the creation of the 90’s series Living Single. Run The World is taking on Starz’s #TakeTheLead initiative to create programming that features women and underrepresented audiences.

What is Run The World about?

Moreover, Run The World follows a group of Black women in their 30s as they navigate through life together. The best friends show that loyal and enviable friendship is the best way to survive and thrive in the world. The series takes on the topics of love, divorce, ambition, world domination and empowerment.

Who stars in the series?

Further, the series stars Amber Stevens West  ( 22 Jump Street), Andrea Bordeaux (NCIS: Los Angeles), Bresha Webb (Sextuplets), and Corbin Reed (Valor) as the main cast.

The series also stars Tosin Morohunfola (Friend Request), Stephen Bishop (Imposters), Ericka Alexander (Living Single, Last Man Standing), Nick Sager (Queen of the South), Tonya Pickens (Fear of the Walking Dead), and Jay Walker (Sleight).

What is everyone saying about the series?

After the trailer was posted on all social media platforms a lot of women took to Twitter and Instagram to give their opinion on the new show.

“This makes me want to shave my head low cause homegirl was killing that look!!! Yass can’t wait!” said A. Linton on Twitter in response to Andrea Bordeaux’s low cut.

Run The World might just become a hit show and that would not be a surprise. I mean, a show that gives Black women a voice and showcases our Black girl magic, who would want to miss this?
