With the stay home order still in effect, this is the perfect time to bump up your skincare routine. Or start one if you don’t have one. Especially with skincare facilities still closed, options to get those facials are limited.

Below are a few tips to keep your skin fresh and healthy at home:

ALOE VERA

Studies have shown that gel from the plant can help with acne, cold sores, dry skin, and irritation. Aloe vera gel is also good for natural hair conditioning and growth.  If you don’t have the plant in your backyard, you can purchase the plant from the store.

But even something as natural as aloe can be harsh on your skin, especially if it’s sensitive. If you find yourself breaking out, try diluting the gel with water.

COLD WATER

Splashing your face with cold water is always a great wash for mornings and nights. The cold water closes your pores and can also work as an anti-wrinkle treatment and tone your skin.

ROSE WATER

Rosewater is hydrates even the driest skin. Since I’ve been using it, I’ve experienced fewer breakouts.  And how many times have you heard that? Many skincare products don’t work well with sensitive skin and will break you out. However, with rose water, there has been a flake or trace of dry skin.

SWEET ALMOND OIL

Sweet almond oil is the perfect skin moisturizer. Just with a few drops and your face doesn’t have to re-up for moisture for hours. I used Now’s Sweet Almond Oil and for $8.00 for 16 oz, my skin has never looked so plush.

GLOW WELL CBD FACE SPRAY

You can replace the almond oil and rose water spray after your wash with Glow Well CBD face spray. It has grapefruit and lemongrass and pure blended essential oils of Vitamin B-3, B-5, Omegas 3 & 7, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E. This spray hydrates and moisturizes. I replaced it for my morning routine.

SLEEP

Relaxed skin comes from relaxation. Although COVID-19, has changed our current way of living,  sleep should always be a high priority.  Falling asleep to meditation music and add a little aromatherapy to the room.
